DsView: a Windows viewer for SAS data sets, as produced by
the SAS System®, Altair (formerly World Programming System),
StatTransfer and others.
DsView 1.0 is the first production release of this fully functional SAS data set viewer after many years of development and testing of
the earlier versions.
DsView 1.0 features improved performance and stability and includes two new features:
Data Flags are a built-in set of yes/no indicators that help you find common data quality issues like data values that might be truncated,
or values that contain control characters like tabs, or even hidden Unicode characters like smart quotes.
Data Inspector lets you see the raw data behind variable's value, in formatted, unformatted or raw hex dump format. Great for tracking down
hard-to-spot data value anomalies that can easily trip up your programs.
DsView is a lightweight application consisting of a single executable file around one megabyte in size. As such it loads
and displays your data set within a fraction of a second of double-clicking it - substantially faster than any other SAS data set
viewer available, at any price.
If you or your team are currently viewing your data sets using VIEWTABLE then give DsView a try - there is a better way!
Download DsView today for a free trial. If you like it, you can remove all trial limitations for a small monthly subscription charge.
This is a full installer
for DsView; once downloaded, simply double-click the file to run it and you'll be guided through the installation procedure. DsView does not
require .NET, Java or any other runtime support.
During installation of DsView, you will be required to read and accept the End User
License Agreement (EULA). The EULA for DsView is also available here, if you'd like to read it
before downloading. If you have any difficulty with the full installer (perhaps due to permissions restrictions), you can download the DsView executable
by clicking here (541 Kb, zip file). Extract the dsview.exe file to
any convenient location and double-click to run it.
You can download and use the trial version of DsView with no payment, registration or obligation of any kind. To unlock the
full power of DsView, you need to subscribe.
Subscriptions are free for the first 30 days and then renew at just £3.99 GBP per month per user.

Uninstallation Instructions
If you choose to uninstall DsView, follow these instructions:
From the Start menu, select Settings, then Apps. Search or scroll to find DsView in the list and choose Uninstall from the three-dots menu.
Telemetry
DsView includes telemetry that records certain details of how you use it and uploads this information
to our servers on a roughly weekly basis. This is an important part of the software development process as it helps us to understand how DsView is
used, the types of computer that it's used on, the typical size of the data sets it's used with, etc. We guarantee that:
no personal data is collected;
no data from your data sets is collected other than some basic metadata such as the name, number of columns, number of records, etc;
all collected data will be kept strictly confidential within Oceanview Consultancy and will not be shared with any third party.
The usage log file is stored in <user folder>\AppData\Local\Oceanview Consultancy\DsView and you can view this at any time if
you'd like to see what data is being collected.
